Domenica Manna C

I am a fifty
something lady currently living in Victoria, Australia. I am a
"forcefully retired" TAFE (Tertiary and Further Education) teacher.
My primary roles were teaching young adults all about Road Laws,
Road Rules and Regulations, how to pass a learner's permit
test/driving test and teaching Cert. III and IV in Road Transport.
This meant teaching adults of all ages, gender, backgrounds and
Ethnicity to become Driving Instructors.
Prior to that I qualified as a
driving instructor in my early twenties, worked around family
commitments and children for the next 15 years, first as a
contractor and later had my own driving school.
By the time my children reached their teens I realized that there
were conflicting opinions among driving instructors as to what they
were expected to teach their students. Some believed that teaching a
student to pass the driving test was enough, while others went
further by actually teaching their students to drive a vehicle.
It was at this time that I decided to realise my lifelong dream of
becoming a "Art Teacher" and went back to school.
My Degree?
Well you may laugh here, I ended up with a teaching degree in
vocational education.
I enjoy reading, taking my German Sheppard for walks, listening to music (
all kinds ) and growing orchids.
